The Americans got suckered, by some very sharp operators.

Propaganda.

"and were angry at the people of Worcester because the didn't remember the Battle when King Charles the second was defeated by the parliamentarians"
not surprised they didnt remember - it was charles 1 not charles 2

Just something that you might find interesting

the taxes levied AFTER the revolution (to pay for it) were higher than the taxes BEFORE the revolution)

My thoughts are- the revolution was nothing really to do with taxation - its was cos colonial merchants wanted a "piece of the action"
Several important imports were controlled by a select few merchants apointed to handle these imports who could charge high prices (i.e they were a cartel) - The colonial merchants wanted to be able to be able to sell the same stuff at the same price and made large profits. Easy to stir people up people by claiming they were paying a lot in taxes (which they werent - they paid far less than taxes in britain)

even Africa still depend as common wealth country

Broadly, because in those other countries, the British learned not to treat the colonists in such an arrogant and abusive manner.

British colonies in ''New England'' [north-east USA] were taxed heavily by the British thanks to the French-Indian war. High taxes caused the colonies to dislike the Brits and declare independence by force, thus creating USA.

Britain did not make the same mistake with the other colonies, many of which it acquired decades or even centuries after the USA declared independence.

Staying with the crown worked for them, it just didn't work for us.

And by the way, our considering the British to be tyrants is past history..200 years past. You might remember we fought side by side with the British and all the Commonwealth nations in World Wars 1 and 2 and in the both Gulf wars and in the War on Terror.

We do not live in the past. Try it sometime.

The USA had the balls to break away.

Many Americans loved King James, but they weren't fond of King George. Not every person in leadership is the same as their other family members.
