I am 17 and have only recently developed an interest for acting. I am wanting to do film acting but getting involbed in plays/shows for experience. Is it too late now to start getting involved in musocal theatre shows/plays and acting, with no previous ex

Answers:

It's not, as long as you understand that you will not start going to TV and movie auditions till you're almost 30, and that there's a good chance it will take at least 10 more to get a major role, and that that may very well never happen at all. If you're okay with that, start building your resume. Get into an acting school, join a community or youth theater, and audition for anything that doesn't require an agent, like indie and student films. In addition, take vocal and dance lessons and anything else that can help boost your resume. This will take a big investment of (your parents') money, time, and work, and there are no guarantees you will come anywhere close to where you wanna be. If you're okay with that, after all the hard work, understand that you will need to be in L.A., so if you're not, at this point you will need to move and get an agent. If you're okay with that, there's no reason you shouldn't pursue an acting career. Just stay realistic. No matter how old you are, you need to think like an adult.

As for musicals/theaters, audition away!

No. Some people have not got involved until their 30s or 40s.

Not at all! Many people begin even later. You might not necessarily be able to make a career out of it, but I'm sure you'll be able to get roles in things if you just stay determined, and who knows? Maybe something great will happen because of it. Sutton Foster was originally an understudy but she ended up getting to play the lead role in a Broadway show out of pure luck and now she's got two Tonys, so miracles do happen. Good luck with any future auditions!

It's never too late! Acting and theater can be a fun, creative outlet a great way to meet people and an opportunity to learn life skills.

Good luck

No, it's not. Many people get started later than that.

Not at all. You have ample time.

Possibly not
