Haye, Myself and my wife we are going Dubai & then India from china, we do own a Local Debit card that won't works internationally ( had worst expedience in past when card declined on every single ATM ) so here is the question. I know we can t

Answers:

Very unsafe to carry cash and you stand out as tourists with cash and risk being robbed.... most cards are accepted worldwide either Visa or Master and there is always travellers cheques

you won't be safe carrying money

You should split and carry separately.

NEVER EVER take that much in cash anywhere. There are plenty of other safer alternatives.

If you got mugged, and please don't say you won't, and the cash was stolen, your insurance will only cover you up to $x in cash - probably about £$200 - nowhere 10 or 20k..

Take travelers cheques or get a credit card or put money on a pre-paid card

Don't carry cash. Ever.

Do you have a any bureau de change in a nearby city that can provide an international card loaded up with your spending money?

Don't take a lot of cash. Your debit card should work if you check which network they use. I always use debit cards (on the road for 17 years - of course debit cards were largely useless 17 years ago, but every year it's better and better). It sometimes causes some issues in certain countries, but less issues than carrying around cash. If you have UnionPay or CIRUS logos on your card, you're good in mostly every country. If it was a few years ago when you had trouble it'll be better this time as American cards are almost all working with UnionPay now. Alternatively, start a new bank account with a bank that has better international network carriers. Also use your credit cards. But anyway, up to you.
