I'm 22 years old and made $81,000 under the table last year. Will the IRS find out?

I have not paid taxes on any of it. I made it all myself, I worked very hard for my money and don't feel like I should pay the IRS and the state anything since I made it all on my own and they did not help me make a single penny of it. All of the mon

Answers:

Wage earners pay without IRS or the state "helping them.". Why shouldn't you pay? Eventually this is going to blow up in your face.

and how do you spend you rmoney, did you buy some fancy car, a boat an RV or maybe a house, someone making that kind of money and not reporting will very likely be found out, maybe not today but sometime in the future and you would do well to get it cleared up now

If you continue making this kind of money under the table year after year, yes eventually you will come to their attention. At that time, they will file liens on any property you own and take for instance all of your cars, house furnishing etc. They don't have time to go after the small time people make little amounts here and there but they WILL make the time with the kind of money you are hiding. Like the drug dealer's problem-sure you have all this unexplained cash but how can you launder and spend it without someone noticing?

How do I know? I was married to a tax cheat for 11 years, had to file taxes "Married but filing single" and finally left him. Eventually the IRS caught up with him and the State Tax agency too. He can't own anything, the IRS has put liens on any real estate he thought he owned and taken everything else. The IRS is watching him all the time and I'm actually surprised he's not in jail. And he never made the kind of money you are talking about! On top of it all, he is 64 and realizing that he won't get any Social Security or Medicare as he had no reportable wages. Now he's finally scared.

Oh, yes. The IRS is going to question how it is that you are able to live on no income. It's how they caught Al Capone and countless other tax cheats.

You made it all yourself, huh? How were you able to do that without using anything that taxpayers supply? The military that defends you as well as the rest of the country. The education system that you benefit from and you benefited from. The federal and state roads you drive on and if you don't drive or go anywhere, the things you need to live are brought to you on?

Do you pay for everything with cash? Do you keep all of your cash in your house, don't use banks or credit cards or any electronic form of payment, all of which generate documentation? Those are all ways for the IRS to find you and your state revenue department to find you. If you own any property, you would be paying property taxes, and that's another way they can find you - and something they can take from you.

Another way to find you is if somebody who pays you cash wants to deduct what they paid on their business tax return. If they send you a 1099, they also send the IRS a copy of it. Now the IRS knows that you've accepted money, and their computers will wait for you to report that money.

Since you posted a question about it they will now. Not smart dude.

But aside from that, you use quite a bit of government services that you're supposed to be paying for through taxes. Roads, schools, infrastructure, police, national security, and in most places fire services and ambulances.

We all have to pay our taxes, that keeps the government running.

Your customers earned money with help of the government. You eat food, with a protected food supply. Drink water. Went to school on the government's expense. You are not being attacked by foreign armies. Sidewalks, roads, bridges, and all infrastructure and public transportation is highly supplemented. If you own anything at all, or your family, registered ownership items are protected. We have a system of law and order that people don't steal everything you earned. If you have elderly relatives, they have government support rather than you supporting them. The list goes on and on of what the government is doing and spending on you and all people. You can get turned into the IRS. The state monitors sales for sales tax and forwards info to the Federal government. All large cash transactions get reported. There is no question that the government supported the money you earn and the life you live. If you get caught, you can pay dearly. You can go to jail. There are severe penalties and interest in not paying taxes, and they have years to catch you. There is always a chance that you will be caught. My father was a special agent for the IRS for 30 years and caught many cheaters over the years. When you do not pay taxes, you are stealing from your friends, family, everyone you know, and everyone you don't know. You lack integrity, and are the scum of the Earth because you steal from me. You belong in Leavenworth KS penitentiary, where some large brute will use you as his sex toy.

well ... not before , but since you just confessed , and posted it on a public forum , with an easy to trace IP address .... um ...

They already know about it.
You told them when you posted this question.

Maybe.....maybe not.

Did you ever drive on roads last year?
Did you ever breathe any air or drink any water?
Did you ever eat any food?
Were you protected by our armed services?
Were you protected by our police and fire departments?

You used a a ton of government services weather you want to admit it or not.

You may feel that you deserve to cheat the system but your reasons are not valid.
