What do you think you have to put on a tax return? It sounds like nothing. If you're under the minimum income level, you don't need to file.

Answers:

What do you think you have to put on a tax return? It sounds like nothing.

If you're under the minimum income level, you don't need to file.

Just what would you file then? If you have no income, then you don't file and you don't qualify for any credits.

If you had taxable income last year then you must file your taxes. It does not matter what your current employment status is. There are other ways to earn income, such as stock says or real estate sales, than being employed.

Yes. Everyone alive for any part of the year can file taxes. There is no one who cannot file. You do not need a job, income, or anything else. The only two requirements are that you must have been born before the end of the year and you must not have died before the start of the year.

That being send, why would you? Filing just means filing out forms to sned to the government. You don't automatically get any money.

You can file, mailing them in, but won't get any money unless you qualify for refundable part of AOC

You can with zero income for 2017, Not mandatory, otherwise you should if you gross was under $2500. Above that, filing is mandatory.

Being unemployed has nothing to do with it. If you had any income in the prior year, then you have to file.

Did you earn money in 2017? Did you earn enough to be required to file, or if aren't required to file, was tax withheld from what you earned and you would like to get it refunded?

That is ALL that matters. It doesn't matter if you don't have a job in 2018.

You have to file taxes if you had any income from a job or savings in 2017.
