I am 16 and I’ve always been interested in a sports motorcycle. I am very responsible and will treat the motorcycle like it’s supposed to be. My mom does not like the idea because of the risks involved but we live in the country where there’s a lot less t

Answers:

Avoid a sports motorcycle, they are too fast for inexperienced riders. Settle for a Honda 125 to gain experience and your mum will be more open to the idea.

Yes you should, however, to improve the experience –

Take a professional training course.

Then get a small displacement, secondhand bike, ride it for several thousand miles, then consider selling and buying a replacement.

All of this is contingent on getting the agreement of your mother.

get a 125cc dual sport and learn to play in dirt as well as roadway. Basic cheap transportation request might get you a chance at 2 wheels while living at home, under age. .

you know what doctors call motorcycle riders? "organ donors"

YOU can be the best rider in the world - but a car/lorry crashing into you the car/lorry driver will likely have minor injuries , you will be dead - Wont do you ANY good it being their fault, it wont make you any less dead

No. You should wait until you're 18 and can make your own decisions and bear the consequences. Until then, you abide by the "rules of the house".

You can not get one as a minor unless she buys it for you. Her house her rules.

When you are 19 and graduated from school and have a job and can support yourself then you can get a bike. Until then, you do what your mommy says

You better check insurance rates for a 16 yr. old on a sports bike. sssssssurprise!!!

Absolutely not. Wait until you're a little bit older. A 16 year old with a sports bike and miles of open country road spells disaster no matter how you cut it. I've seen far many kids die because they're not experienced enough for the power of those bikes.

NO. The FIRST thing you should do is get a drivers license and learn how to drive in a car. THEN you can attend a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider's Class to learn how to ride a motorcycle the RIGHT (safe) way.
