I just bought a new computer and it’s good for what I need, I think. which is web browsing. No games , no heavy downloads. But I do need to have many open tabs at once with maybe a video on the back. I notice pages slow down when I do this. Now, what mak

Answers:

You have a low end processor, and not enough RAM.

You're basically taking a Kia Soul and wondering why it's not able to perform like a Ford F150.

Ideally you should buy a new computer.

i3 processor
8GB of RAM, minimum, but 16GB would be better.
Some sort of video card -- NOT an embedded video chip. Any of those Intel HD Graphics chips are NOT viable. These do not have dedicated memory, so they use your system's main RAM. They're also not very powerful so they're SLOW.

Basically a laptop or desktop in the $600-700 range should have the hardware you need in order to handle dozens of tabs with no slow down.

Of course this also depends on you having a decent internet connection but anything around 10mbps or faster should be easy to come by and will be plenty for heavy browsing and even a Netflix movie.

Despite what the others say increasing RAM will help only a little. What you have is a low end PC with a budget processor very small SSD drive and modest amount of RAM. The processor is no good for multitasking as it is dual thread only

You tend to get what you pay for, basically as you said you need a better spec computer pure and simple

Web browsers need a lot of RAM, pure and simple. 4GB is not enough these days.

It’s RAM. You need to increase the amount.
