So i recently started noticing when i apply foundation on my neck and then wash my neck at night, there is one spot between the bottom of my chin and the beginning of my neck that hurts when i apply pressure. I started feeling around tonight and felt a bu

go to doctor immediately.

unfortunately, the neck region is filled with structures with different conditions associated with each of them..
lymph nodes for example are part of the sewer system in that region that can get swollen from a nearby infection or a tumour (not necessarily a cancer) nearby..

and it depends on who you ask, if you asked a dentist, he/she would probably mention about an infected gum and tooth.. a surgeon would suggest Parotid (Salivary) glands that can be infected or have a small stone blocking its duct.. an internist may suggest a generalized infection (from the regular flu to HIV).. a dermatologist may suggest an infected hair follicle.. and Mayo clinic may suggest cancers -- they are known to have the cancer card ready for any problem in the body..

my top guesses are: a stone in the Parotid Gland (the pain/tender gets worse when you are about to eat or smell a delicious meal).. and an infection in that region associated with a tender lymph node in the chin area, probably a dental problem or an ENT problem..

your examining doctor will have better answers than anyone of us here on Yahoo Answers..
i do not think that this is an emergency though, because the absence of other symptoms.. you can make an appointment at the local GP or Family Doctor clinic..

Cyst, if it gets bigger apply warm compress.

Not sure whether it is mumps or infection due to allergy to cosmetics.
Please see a doctor.
