Is my mom crossing the line?

I'm 28, I recently told my mom who I would say I am very close with that I have never had a pap smear or been to an OB/GYN, and that I don't ever intend to go. It's a personal choice that I have personal reasons for, one of which is severe PTS

Answers:

If you have PTSD, get medication and therapy.

And you will have to see one if you ever get prego, so never say never.

There was a time era when these so called specialist never existed. The women were probably just fine back then too. Finally tell her to knock it off or she will never get grand children from you.

Yeah, that’s bonkers.

I mean, she’s right. But you’re very much an adult and entitled to make your own dumb choices.

I suggest, “You are crossing a line and are disrespecting my personal choices.”

Your mom is right. Not saying that you aren't an adult who gets to make her own (bad) choices, but your mom is an adult who gets to say what she wants to say. She doesn't want you to beat her to the grave. Why is that so hard to understand?

Just give it a couple weeks and if she brings it up again, tell her you've already gone to a doctor for that (and find the name of a gynecologist so you're prepared with that). At least it will shut her up

Best wishes

Tell her you are going to bring her for (insert crazy thing here) like a tattoo or nipple piercing or some crazy stuff like that. And when she resists dont take no for an answer. Keep pushing and pushing your agenda. Then make the comparison for her I mean she happens to be right but it is YOUR choice!

You're 28, you get to make (and live with) your decisions.
