For every baby expected to be placed for adoption, there is 40 people/couples wishing to adopt that baby.

Choose LIFE - and that’s the life of the living breathing human who will be greatly impacted by an unwanted pregnancy. It’s HER BIDY and HER RIGHT to manage her own health care. Banning abortion and forcing women into unplannned motherhood is cruel (even if she hands baby over for adoption, she can’t ealk away from being that child’s mom).
JoysSe —- notice how there’s no mention of the MAN who chose to knock up this girl. The discussion generally blames the WOMAN for falling pregnant. Interesting side note - Iran for the last two decades ran a PSA and family planning program. Legal abortion, free birth control, free sterilizations. Men were the ones encouraged to “act responsibly”. The result? The lowest abortion rate, a lower birth rate, and increased incomes for women.
(Sadly, Iran is rolling back the PSA to encourage women to have babies and stay at home caring for families.)

There are 40 couples waiting to adopt for every infant who becomes available for adoption.

Well wouldn’t that be something if they actually started caring about the babies after they’re born instead of just when they’re fetuses. They should adopt an unwanted child, or at the very least stop talking about welfare queens.

Personal responsibility is out of the question anymore I see.

That's what I would like to do. Honestly, I'm terrified of pain so I will probably never have my own children, so instead, I want to adopt children! Sadly, I'm too young at the moment to do that, but it's definitely something I'll do when I'm older.

I took 5 into my home, in addition to the 2 I already have. And I'm pro-choice, but I strongly agree with your sentiment.

Yeah!!! Drunks aren't going to quit driving either. Everyone else should stay off the roads.

That mindset is about the same as saying rather than be responsible, and spay/neuter, just drown the extra cats we find in the streets.
