shutter lag in airplanes

This is what happens when your digital camera has bad shutter lag. I have no idea just how many action shots I’ve missed do to this major issue. I must warn you, please do your research before you buy a camera. Obviously, I don’t have this issue with film. :)

I’ve used one of those “Automatic” self-focusing and everything “consumer” 35mm cameras, it also had a big delay as it focused, took light measurements, bla bla bla, after you pressed the “Take Picture” button. Fortunately, I only paid $10 for it at a yard sale. More fortunately, after a year or so it died. I often took better pics with cheap single-use 35mm cameras, just because the shutter responded instantly.

Ben, Yeah. That’s why I need an el’cheapo lomo.

Kane, this is usually all I see of the 100s of planes that fly over.
