I really like them both. But if I had to choose, I’d say the first one because of the DOF. Sometimes I really love shallow DOF because it makes the photo look softer or something.

Although the first one is a more interesting perspective, it would have worked better with a large f-stop, for full deph of field. I find the slective focus to be distracting. The second one is crisp, clear, and aestheically pleasing. Well done!
